The SNØcastle
The SNØcastle is a brand-new play area inside the snow zone! Here, kids can play and explore real snow all year round, with fun activities like ice slides, snow caves, and lots of other snowy adventures. It’s perfect for little explorers, and for anyone who wants to experience SNØ without skis on.
Norway’s only year-round indoor snowcastle
The SNØcastle is designed for children between the ages of 3 and 10, but the whole family can have fun here regardless of age. through snow tunnels, and slide down icy slides – all year round.
The area is built for safe and fun play, with soft edges, clear zones, and features adapted to different age groups. Need a break? Head to the warm zone at SNØ, enjoy your packed lunch or visit one of the on-site restaurants. It’s the perfect spot for an active and cozy family day.
Clothing: It’s -4°C inside, so remember to wear winter clothing (snowsuit, mittens, hat, and preferably wool as a base layer).
Snowsuits can be rented for NOK 95 (available from size 86 and up), and boots can be rented for NOK 60 (from size 24 and up).

All prices are for a one hour pass.
Children (ages 2–13):
❄️ Weekdays (16:00–20:00): NOK 135
❄️ Weekends (10:00–17:00): NOK 155
14 year old +:
❄️ Weekday (16:00-20:00): NOK 155
❄️ Weekend (10:00-17:00): NOK 165
❄️ Additional adult (with child): NOK 50
If you have a valid SNØpass (day pass, punch card, season pass or membership for the alpine slope or cross-country track), admission to SNØborgen is only NOK 50. The price includes one ticket per SNØpass, and only for the pass holder. Tickets are purchased at the Welcome Centre on the ground floor at SNØ.
Children under 2 years old and up to two accompanying adults per child enter for free.
If more than two adults accompany a child, an additional adult ticket must be purchased.

SNØcastle facts
- The SNØcastle is 30 meters long, 13 meters wide, and has snow walls up to four meters high.
- The SNØcastle is built across 3 levels and features 2 ice slides, 3 tunnels, several climbing ropes and walls, as well as a fun balance beam.
- Capacity: up to 40 people at a time
- Made entirely of snow (approx. 400 tons), with a few added play elements for extra fun.
