Ice climbing at SNØ
The ice wall at SNØ, also called The Mammut Wall, is the Nordic region's only indoor ice wall. 15 meters high and with a weight of 180 tonnes, it is a contender for "world's tallest indoor ice wall". We make ice climbing accessible in safe surroundings.

Our ice wall consists of two sides and a total of 8 rope lines.
The front facing the ski slope has four rope lines. This is the side we have courses on, and which has the less technical and physical routes. Here, there can be 4 climbers on the wall at the same time, as long as there is 2-3 meters between each climber, and you are outside each other's fall zones.
On the dark back side, there are also 4 rope lines, but due to the space and the ice, only two rope teams can stay here at any time. This side is only open to drop-in climbers and is never used for organized courses. The back side is a more challenging side, with fragile and formation-rich ice. Use caution when climbing here.
Experience climbing
This course is perfect for those with no experience with climbing before. You will get introduced to the equipment and try the ice wall for the very first time. Our experienced instructors will guide you and are responsible for your safety.

Suitable for:
No previous climbing experience required. No age limit, but must have a minimum size 36 in shoes (this has to do with the crampon). Everyone under the age of 18 must bring a parent who does not climb themselves. 1 parent per 2 children to climb. Parents then enter free of charge.
*The course is mainly designed for you to sign up with a climbing partner. But if you want to sign up alone, that's also fine.

Drop-in Ice Climbing Sessions
Experienced ice-climbers can book two-hour sessions on the Mammut Wall. The indoor ice-climbing wall is 15 meters high and 10 meters wide, and you must have a top rope card or “brattkort” to climb. You can only use top rope when climbing on the Wall.

Suitable for:
Those who have a top rope card/"brattkort" and can have previous experience with ice climbing outdoors or completed intro ice climbing at SNØ.

Intro Ice Climbing
This course is for those who has experience with climbing, and want to learn ice climbing. On this course you must have a top rope or "brattkort". Our instructors go through the equipment, movement on the ice and handling of dangers on ice climbing.
