SNØ safety rules
We have a high focus on safety, and it is important that everyone who is skiing at SNØ have read and understood the SNØ safety rules. This is to create a safe place for everyone.
1. Responsibility for avoiding danger and injuries
A skier or snowboarder must behave in such a way that he does not endanger or prejudice others.
2. Control of speed
A skier or snowboarder must move in control. He must adapt his speed and manner of skiing or snowboarding to his personal ability and to the prevailing conditions of terrain and snow as well as to the density of traffic.
3. Downhill skiing and choice of route
It is forbidden to run straight down except during organized training sessions. A skier or snowboarder coming from behind must choose his route in such a way that he does not endanger skiers or snowboarders ahead. Ensure enough space and adapt speed when passing other skiers or snowboarders.
4. Avoid making queues or blockages
Unless absolutely necessary, a skier or snowboarder must avoid stopping on the slope in narrow places or where visibility is restricted. Go clockwise direction in the cross country lanes and step to the side in an appropriate place where you do not disrupt other skiers when you need a break.
5. No shoes in the snow zone
In the snow zone everyone must be on skis or snowboard. If you have been given special permission to walk on foot, you must keep to the side of the slope or use marked areas.
6. Use a helmet
It is cool to wear a helmet!
7. Assistance at accidents
Every skier or snowboarder is duty-bound /obligated to assist. Every witness, whether a responsible party or not, must exchange names and addresses following an accident.
8. Respect signs and markings
Please respect all signs and markings.
9. Drugs and alcohol
Drugs and alcohol do not belong together with skiing
10. Littering
Littering is not acceptable - keep “snus” under your lip and use designated waste containers
Violation of the safety rules may result in expulsion from the arena and denied access for future visits.
Safety rules for terrain park
1. Do not use the park
Do not use the park without understanding the level of difficulty of different elements, in addition to weather and snow conditions.
2. Adapt your riding
Adapt your riding in accordance with your ability, traffic and terrain difficulty.
3. Only one rider
Only one rider at a time on jumps and obstacles.
4. Avoid stopping
Avoid stopping between jumps and obstacles. Rider in the line has right of way.
5. If you fall over
If you fall over - do not stay, but move away from the area as soon as possible to avoid being hit by others. Provide assistance to other when required.
6. Respect
Respect signs, restrictions and park information. Violation of rules and regulations may results in loss of liftpass.
