We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is a confident and experienced ice climber (minimum 3 seasons) with a strong focus on safety
  • Has knowledge of ice and ice formation
  • Is a certified indoor climbing instructor through the Norwegian Climbing Federation (NKF), minimum level
  • Has experience working at height (rope access techniques)
  • Is hands-on, solution-oriented, and passionate about the field
  • Has a strong desire to inspire others through unique experiences
  • Is a team player with energy, drive, and a solution-first mindset
  • Wants to contribute to reaching our goals and delivering a world-class customer experience
Tasks:

We’re still shaping the world’s most thrilling year-round snow experience, so not all responsibilities are fully defined. As SNØ grows, so can you - your attitude and passion for the project matter most. In the beginning, your role will include:

  • Responsibility for maintaining equipment
  • Follow-up with instructor team, including recruitment and development
  • Lead responsibility for activities and concept development
  • Monitor and maintain equipment routines in line with supplier recommendations
  • Monitor ice maintenance routines and assess ice quality weekly
  • Plan and carry out work at height on the Mammut Wall
  • Act as instructor for courses and events as per guidelines
  • Continuously evaluate safety during courses
  • Weekly maintenance of the wall, gear, and watering system in collaboration with operations team
  • Execute work at height in coordination with operations manager

Instructors for Alpine, Snowboard, Freeski, and Cross-Country

About the position

The SNØ Ski School started in October 2020, and due to high demand, we are now looking for more instructors in alpine skiing, snowboarding, freeskiing, and cross-country skiing. With us, you can work as an instructor year-round! We are mainly looking for people who want to work extra on evenings, weekends, and during school holidays.

The ski school aims to inspire more people to engage in activities that bring them joy. As a newly established school, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to building an indoor ski school with year-round activities.

We are looking for someone who has:
  • A minimum of completed education as a ski instructor, level 1, from NIG/DNS or similar
  • Experience working with people
  • A sporty nature and a passion for giving others a safe and enjoyable experience on skis/snowboard
  • Good pedagogical presentation skills
  • Outgoing personality and able to engage with others
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Ability to manage a diverse group of people while also being able to see individual needs
Tasks:

You will be part of the SNØ school as an instructor for both children and adults. Typical tasks will include conducting courses for children and adults, schools, tourists, companies, and private lessons.
