The snow zone

What should I wear at SNØ?

The snow zone has a steady temperature of about -4 degrees Celcius. We strongly recommend warm clothing, wool and helmets. If you don’t have the right clothing or equipment, you can rent it at the Welcome Center or purchase it at Anton Sport SNØ.

Is there an age limit for the snow zone?

Children below 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 140 cm (4ft 7") must also be accompanied by an adult when using the chairlift.

What kind of ski wax should I use at SNØ?

The temperature is between -2 to -4 degrees Celcius. Pick a ski wax for these conditions. At Anton Sport Snø, you can both purchase ski wax and ask for advice.

If you have base binder wax that is heated on the skis, we recommend VP50, VP55 and VP60 based on how much grip you wish to have. Our tip is to apply 2-3 layers to optimize your grip.

If you have not waxed the skis beforehand with base binder, you can still use the above ski wax, but there is a risk you will experience wear on the wax and will have to re-apply multiple times. Alternatively, you can use VP65 which is a soft wax that normally provides good grip in these conditions. Klister is not allowed.

What kind of lifts are there at SNØ?

We have a 4-seater chairlift that will take you to the top of the slopes. In addition, we have a Magic Carpet in the beginners area.

Can I go sledding at SNØ?

It is not possible to go sledding at SNØ unless we arrange specific events where it is permitted. This is because we must ensure the safety of all guests and appropriately prepare space in the facility.
