A presentation of the owners
In January 2020, SNØ - the world's most spectacular indoor arena for snow experience, opened. The arena, which is right next to Lørenskog station, is much more than an arena for the professional skiers. Together, the many offerings at SNØ will serve as an adventure center for anyone who loves snow.
A new city
Snøbyen is the developer of The Snow City, which is centrally located at Lørenskog station, where SNØ was the first stage of construction.
The city that will encircle around SNØ is a unique and innovative project with a knowledge cluster within sports-related business. In addition, there will be hotels, restaurants, shops and appartments.
The owners
Snøporten is the company behind the development of the area and the project with the investors: Selvaag AS, Canica, Oslo Pension Insurance, Malling, Baumann, and Lørenskog Kommunale Pensjonskasse.
SELVAAG
Selvaag AS is a family owned investment company which is the parent company of the Selvaag Group. The company invests primarily in wholly and partly owned subsidiaries, but also in companies that are controlled and developed together with other co-investors. Selvaag is the initiator behind SNØ.
CANICA
Canica AS is a family owned investment company established in 1985 by Stein Erik Hagen. The company is the largest shareholder in Orkla and owns Komplett, Jernia and Kremmerhuset. In addition, the Group has significant investments in other companies, real estate and in the securities market. Canica is a solid financial player that has created great value through active ownership.
OSLO PENSJONSFORSIKRING
Oslo Pensjonsforsikring AS (OPF) is a life insurance company owned by the municipality of Oslo. The company provides public occupational pensions to most employees in the municipality of Oslo, municipal enterprises, several of the municipality's joint-stock companies and employees in hospitals that were previously owned by the municipality of Oslo. OPF is part of a group that also includes Oslo Forsikring AS. Both insurance companies have been created to serve the municipality and businesses owned by it. The goal is to keep customers' insurance costs as low as possible through efficient operation, good asset management and targeted damage prevention work.
BAUMANN
Baumann Invest AS is a family owned investment company. The company is owned by Per Baumann Sr., Henrik Baumann, Per Baumann and Siri Baumann. Baumann Invest invests in real estate, private equity and other financial investments.
LØRENSKOG KOMMUNALE PENSJONSKASSE
Lørenskog kommunale pensjonskasse was established by Lørenskog municipality in 2011. The pension fund is an independent legal entity that provides public occupational pensions to most employees in Lørenskog municipality and Nitor AS. The pension scheme covers over 8500 people, and the goal is to keep the municipality's pension costs as low as possible through efficient operation and good asset management.
